No one? Not a single person showed up?

Are we sure these photos were not taken before the book signing actually started?

I have got zero sympathy for Cindy Sheehan- but before I start rejoicing at her plight, I want to know that these photos were taken after her book signing had started.

That was my first though, was this her waiting before the signing. I feel for any mother that loses her child but in this case I feel for the memory of a soldier drug thru the mud. I hope she did sit alone.

I don't know about the context of these photos, but the pic in post #20 looks authentic.

Book signings work this way. The author shows up before the assigned time to meet with store employees. The thought being that if the author makes friends with the store employees they will push the book after the author is gone.

Then at the appointed time or shortly thereafter with a number of people waiting in line, the store official comes out and introduces the author. The author then signs books and pictures for the people in line. The media shows up early in the author's signing session so as to be sure to have some book purchasers to be in the picture of the Author signing books.

There is no way the media wants a picture of any author sitting with no one in line and no books to sign.

This signing was a total flop. Book signings are like singing in a night club. The singer does not come out and sit on the band stand before the show is supposed to start. The author and singer come out only when it is time to do the show. They just sit there only if no customers show up.

The likely thing is she had no one waiting at the time the singing was to start. The media likes to get pictures of people lined up to get their books signed. The photographeres likely waited a few minutes hoping that at least one buyer would show up.. None did so they shot the pictures we are seeing.

My nephew did an extensive book signing tour when his latest book came out. In most places he was scheduled for a 3 hour session. His lowest site sold just under a hundred books. The largest site sold over a five hundred.

This is just one more example that Cindy is being paid by some one like Soros. You can bet if a book publisher were paying for the book signing, as they did for my Nephew's, they would have organized a significant number of buyer's before hand. They typically contact all the people in the area that bought the book on credit cards or using discount cards, and invite them to get their book signed. That will usually garner a starting crowd. If they couldn't get some people pre organized to show up, a publisher would have cancelled the signing.
