I thought they said American Airlines, Los Angeles to Chicago flight. I too, have tried searching for information on that news story, and came up empty till your posting.

If that is accurate, then I would guess we could narrow it down to a few possible flights. Trying to look up flight schedules for aa right now.

As far as I could tell, it was the normal, on the hour abc radio news that's normally on, not any local feed. Same as you heard.
