I think what happens is that it becomes easy to have a kneejerk reaction when defending those few conservative s brave enough to speak without wavering and go "blow for blow" with the opposition but even they need to be called into check sometime or else they find themselves exchanging entirely different kind of blows, those more in the service of their enemies than not.
I'm not offended by Anne's comment. I've felt the same way. Who hasn't felt anger towards those who they view as enemies and I'm sure the same has been expressed openly in the halls of the Times if not on the front page concerning the most kindly of conservatives whether they be great politicians or simply concerned parents. Given how horrible some in the media have tried to tear down this country and propped up the worst of our politicians and promoted the most henious ideas against the citizenry that they are truly lucky that conservatives are not a tenth as evil as they see them to be but we do not have to beat them that way. Evil fears the light not the sword because it knows that with the sword it has an equal power to infect and corrupt long after the host is dead and gone, what it fears is the knowing eye that has the power to cast it into the outer darkness and to reveal it to the awesome fire of the light of truth.
