Joe Wilson Calls Bob Novak An “A**hole” And A “Jerk”…...

Former ambassador speaks on Iraq, CIA leak investigation

In a talk sponsored by the Northeastern College Democrats at Blackman Auditorium Nov. 21, Wilson laid out the story of how he had gone from being a relatively anonymous state department official to "Valerie Plame's husband," sparing few from potent verbal attacks along the way.

He was able to provide the audience with a full account of the trip to Niger he called the reason for his character assassination and, as a "side issue," his reaction to the outing of his wife's identity as a spy with the CIA. Wilson, a former ambassador to several African nations and to Baghdad during the 1991 Gulf War.

"It was a much harder road than [the Bush administration] thought it would be," he said. "Was there anyone who knew better than me? Probably not." He referred to the Iraqis as "assholes," and Saddam Hussein as a "madman."

He added he received support for this view from former President George H.W. Bush and former National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft.

After he began to publicize his views, he said other pro-war policy makers engaged in character denigration, setting the backdrop by which he claimed his wife's identity was revealed. He said he was accused of being racist, among other charges, during the debate.

"My wife was the first American spy to have her identity compromised by the American government," he said.

He also had harsh words for Novak, calling him an "asshole" and a "jerk."

"When I found out , I was on the second floor of my house," he said. "If Bob Novak had been in the room, he wouldn't have been on the second floor for long."

Can someone explain to me how having his wife's so-called covert status revealed was a way to get back at him for his negative comments on the war?

I mean, really, that has been his main whine since the Novak article came out and I have yet to read WHY having her identity exposed was such a terrible thing to do to him.

If she was really covert (which no one is still saying anymore) and serving in another country, that revelation could have meant her death. I get that. But she was driving to work at Langley every day, her picture along with his was on the cover of a major magazine and, according to what I've read, a lot of people knew who she was and where she worked.

You would think if "they" were really out to punish him, they could have thought of something that would have really hurt. No?

...and Novak very well may be, but getting it right once still wouldn't make Joe Wilson an honest man, would it?

If Wilson or Plame were once brought under oath, I wonder how public they would continue to be?

If Joe Boy uses the same words for the boys in Leavenworth as he did for Bob Novak, he would wish it was only a trip down from the second floor. As it stands now, he is going to have hell to pay with his phony charge that his wife was outed by the Bush Administration. It's a matter of time before the facts find that it was Joe Boy himself that outed his own wife to build credibility for himself with Nicholas Kristof of The New York Times in early May 2003, at least a month before the leak to Woodward.

So, Joe Boy, stick that where the sun don't shine. Your day in the sun is a coming!

More than likely the CIA realized that they coudn't have an agent married to a big mouth like Joe Wilson. So they set him up for a mint tea vacation in Niger knowing that Valerie and Joe would soon be history. And, they set him up for his real punishment -- knowing that he couldn't resist any opportunity to put his foot in his mouth he is forced to speak publicly every week looking more and more like the fool he is.

"I don't think anyone, even Fitz Magoo, wants to hear from Joe."

Thousands of home get NBC, CBS and ABC, no cable. They hear this crap over and over until they are sure it is the truth.
They vote for what they think is the truth. And, you can't believe what you read in the newspaper.
Someone needs to get their attention and fill them with the truth.
I am a senior citizen, I will bet that 90% of seniors believe Plame was a covert agent, outed by someone in the Bush White house. They believe this because they listen to the evening news.

A pre-emptive strike. Novak is due to testify within the next week and will be free to reveal his testimony.

Novak would be giving up about 20 years, but he seems like the scrappy type to me. Was a 1Lt in the Army. Wilson is more of a mint-tea sipping, salon-cushion arsed type.

I'd put $50 on Novak. I'd even do pay-per-view.

"And when will Fitzgerald call Wilson before his grand jury"

Judging from the MSM love affair with Fitzgerald, and the ridiculous result of his expensive and extended "investigation" ---- Fitzgerald was a DNC "hammer" to pound on the Bush administration....

If the prancing punk Wilson doesn't get his ass kicked, or jailed -- there is no reality or justice in Washington....

Semper Fi

Joe's second story room Tale is a BIG!!!!! Lie.

Joe's attorney, Christopher Wolf, said he "waved Joe over to see the Novak article and that was THE FIRST that Joe knew that Valerie had been outed".

Yeh....Wolf is Joe's next door neighbor and best friend......and attorney!!
