Wilkerson's comments were truly frightening, for they did indeed suggest that foreign policy should be run by the bureaucracy, not by our elected officials. When Wilkerson describes Cheney - the vice-president! - as part of a "cabal," he sends a clear message that elected officials who defy the bureaucracy are acting in an illegitimate manner, and should be opposed. This sounds very much like treason, coming from a former top aide to Colin Powell.

This sounds very much like treason, coming from a former top aide to Colin Powell. And, until some is tried, convicted, and sentenced (preferably to the gallows), this stuff, sadly, will still happen.
For an administration (and a DOJ) that seems so serious about these things, they still have no b@lls to actually do something about it.
