You are still more alert than most. Context indicates that an extra negative is in the sentence.

It should read, "And I do not believe that anyone but a committed anti-Semite will deny that Israel is a democracy."

No, there is. Sayyed is an older guy and sometimes slips in his grammar a bit. (I have the impression that he does all the editing for his publications himself.)
