A little late but at least he IS addressing the problem. Clinton and Carter made it a policy to bring in as many illegals as possible and immediately register them as Democrats. While Bush may be slow on the ball, he is at least acknowledging the problem . . .

Bush is not one shred less committed to open borders than any Democrat because his business buddies want cheap labor. Kerry wanted to make America part of Europe. The Bush clan wants to make America part of Latin America.

Any "solution" that includes the words "guest worker", only really intends to make the problem worse.

I'm not sure this is better. All that's going to happen now is that Bush is going to bring in the illegals, and the Dems are going to register them. The Democrats just have a Republican President doing their dirty work this time around.
