Joe Wilson: Bush Right to Attack Iraq
NewsMax.com ^ | Dec. 4, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Joe Wilson, Iraq war supporter?

The darling of the anti-war left may be working overtime to bring down the Bush administration for "outing" his CIA wife, but Wilson said Saturday that the White House was right to go to war over Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

"There was a lot of reason to be concerned about weapons of mass destruction in the hands of Saddam Hussein," he told WABC Radio's Mark Simone. "I always thought that he probably had chemical and biological weapons and biological precursors as well."

Wilson said his primary policy difference with President Bush wasn't over Saddam's WMDs, but rather on the question of "how to construct a policy that gets to the national security issue of disarming Saddam Hussein and does so at minimum risk to other legitimate U.S. interests both in Iraq and in the region."

But aside from that, Wilson said he cheered President Bush's decision to topple the Iraqi dictator, telling Simone: "When the president went up to the U.N. and got the [war] resolution unanimously passed at the U.N., nobody applauded louder than I did."

Something stinks in this whole "outing" of a CIA analyst gig. I'd like to know why the CIA sent a DemocRAT hack to Africa so he could return to the U.S. and write books and articles that undermine Bush's war on terror.

Joe is defending Bush Sr. over the first Gulf war where he left Saddam in power to run his scams. He is not defending Bush Jr. over the second gulf war where the socialist money tree (food for oil, weapons for oil, yellowcake uranium for oil....) was disrupted. That war hurt the international criminals and they are still reacting to the loss of income and send out the demorats chanting "Bush Lied, the Money Cow Died!".

I don't think so. Bush 1 went after Hussein because they invaded Kuwait. It was this president who used the WMD argument. Besides the question that elicited this answer was about why he wanted to work for Kerry.

"Is this satire? Do I need glasses? or is he afraid of something if Fitzgerald goes forward with this new Grand Jury?"

Fitzzzzzzzzzz going after Wilson. Not a chance.

"Simone had asked Wilson how he could have gone to work for John Kerry, when Kerry had been one of the biggest proponents of the WMD threat."

It could also be noted that after Kerry took him under his wing, he saw him for what he was. Meaning, he was too dangerous of a loose wheel to be associated with.

That was explained pretty well by Mona Charen

It seems the CIA has moved into the character assassination business with the Bush administration as a prime target.

I'd like this verified. In the meantime:

A little bit of literary daydreaming.

Joe threw back the sheets. What Valerie said couldn't be true. "You're analysis of my trip said what? What are you....you're working for your country again and against me all of a sudden?"

Valerie was stunned. She felt like she had been punched in the stomach. The one person whom she trusted with all her secrets since their third date had betrayed her. She never even suspected that he would write an newspaper article about his Niger trip.

She would have stopped it....not because of her position... but because she knew the real story behind Joe's trip and remembered the day when Mr. X sat down at her desk with HER file in his hand and turned to page 6.

She turned over and wished it would all go away...That he would go away and leave her and the twins to whatever destiny was before them.

She knew one thing: Country was first. Children were blood. Their love was free and would endure. Her husband's was conditional. It was at an end!!

It amazes me that the liberal news media shows pictures of Kurds gassed and killed by Hussein and these people totally deny the existence of WMD.

I didn't think of that...but you two prolly are right..there HAS to be a reason he said that...

After all, he was on the same panel with Cindy Sheehan, in front of the dems...trying to set the table to get an impeachment against Bush...

Very curious!

Me thinks with the FBI reinvestigating the forged documents between the French and Italians, Joey is getting a little worried. I think he is up to his eyeballs in collusion in this matter. If they link him and Val to those documents they could both be in very big trouble. As I understand it, they want to know how those documents arrived at the CIA, and who was responsible.

Hmmmmmm! This could get real interesting!

Gotta wonder if the news about the FBI investigating the origin of the forged Niger documents has anything to do with this.
