Second, Farah routinely touts his Christianity (so much for "let your light so shine" and "not every man who sayeth unto me Lord, Lord"). Advocating vengeance is in antipathy to Christ's teachings. Third, the stridency of his comments is destructive to enlisting support of conservative ideas.
If you call holding a Christian newspaper editorialist to his own professed standards, "bashing," you need to get a life of your own.
