"Also, Moses wasnt rehabilitated and completely forgiven. He was not allowed to enter the Holy Land in effect, God executed (allowed Moses to die) him before the Israelites entered."
He wasn't allowed into the Holy Land because Moses out of angry pique and prideful arrogance towards the faithlessness of Israel struck the rock for water with his rod when God wanted Moses to "speak" to the Rock! God there-fore disciplined Moses by forbidding him entry into Israel. The account furhter explains that when Moses died, God himself buried his body in a valley of which "no man knew until this day".
This had a practical effect of no one being able to use the grave of Moses as an Idolatrous shrine. Also, I get the sense from this particular story that God had wanted to move Moses away from simply using a physical device to "transmit" Gods power, but rather move him into a more Christ like mode of "speaking" God's will into being. My own speculation has me suspecting that had Moses absorbed that lesson, then when Israel was ready to enter into Israel, Moses would have had Israel walking over and ON the river Jordan. Instead, Joshua divides the river the same way he had seen Moses divide the red sea.
As for Tookie, let justice be done. I hope he has found the Lord, and I'm glad he at least has attempted to disuade children from the gang life style. I think now the greatest service he can do for the children would be to accept just punishment to impress upon the little ones just what happens when you trangress the laws.
