Unlike America, which has thousands of female bank managers, (in fact I don't even know if I've ever had a male bank manager) europe is woefully behind in this area. I know the left would be surprised by this.
Of course it may be changing now because of the EU laws, but even five years ago you could find adverts in the paper for jobs open only to women under age 30, or no pension aged people need apply etc.
