You have much of it right but some of it wrong, IMHO. Government regulation, labor unions, trial lawyers and our tax structure, all either imposed or coerced by the Communists/Democrats, are the culprits in this dilemma. Free enterprise, the market, is not being allowed to work so don't blame it.

Adopting the FairTax would be a good first step in the right direction. Then much investment now being sent abroad would stay home as well as attracting foreign corporate headquarters to our country. After that it will be easier to address the other stuff.
