Care give an example of where I am wrong or naive!

Sure, I would be happy to.

How long do you think it will be before these foreign countries impose the same regulations on the corporations as America does? It will eventually happen.

Not necessarily. To assume you know what they would do is naive. However, even if they do the corporations are no worse off and can come back home if that is better.

....we have to insist that our corporations produce quality products so that people don't get injured and sue.

Sounds as if you think corporations purposely build faulty products in order to hurt people and that if we raise a little Hell they will stop. The best way to make them stop is to stop buying the product.

Love Canal, Ralph Nader's "Unsafe at Any Speed", etc., were just leftists hysteronics and media balleyhoo designed to get laws passed to handicap American industry while expanding government regulation and control and making lawyers lots of money to share with Democrats.

If there are abuses they have to be resolved but you don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Let's all just sit down and reason together and sing kumbaya.

If our economy is severely hurt by this outsourcing then tariffs and other regulation would have to be imposed to equal the playing field.

That just imposes protectionism, much like unions impose work rules while eliminating competition, and nullifys the need to change. Do you truly think that it is OK for government to tell companies who can and who cannot do their work. Part of the regulation burden at the moment is caused by the government's mandating affirmative action for various groups.

Be assured that pure capitalism does not work.

How do you know? We haven't had that in a long, long, time if ever. We do know that even the handicapped version we have is far better than Socialism or Communism, both of which are demostrated failures. We became the most powerful economy in history following free enterprise.

We need only enough government involvement to enforce free enterprise not modify it. Hinsight shows that John D. Rockefeller actually kept prices down with his integrated oil company rather than taking advantage of his momopoly.

I agree that you have some good points and that I am being a little strict in my interpretation of your remarks but I do that to make my point.
