I bought an HP computer a few weeks ago and needed some help with a couple issues. My first call was to a nice-enough person, but with an accent I could not understand. I asked where she was--she said, "India". I was surprised (call me "naive"). She wasn't much help because we really couldn't understand eachother. Same thing happened the next time I called. The man finally told me I could call another number where I could pay by the hour for assistance. Needless to say, I was not at all impressed with HP's customer service.
I'd call an complain, but I'd only get someone in India!!!

Who you need to call is the corporate office. Express your displeasure there.
Also, so long as people keep buying their computers, they will keep doing this. Unless you hit HP in the pocket book they won't pay attention to you.
One person can't do it all, but one person can do something.
I refuse to do business with any company that outsources their jobs to India. It's obvious to me they don't need my business.
