Oriana Fallaci stated that the Qur’an was the Mein Kampf of the Jihadi movement. She pointed put out that Islam’s holy book demands the annihilation or subjugation of the other, and that it wants to substitute totalitarianism for democracy.

Her statement, as you may imagine, has caused considerable controversy. A few of the statements I have seen:

"Calling the Koran Mein Kampf is muddle headed and hysterical.....deserves a rebuttal."

"There are moderate Moslems.....I lived among them in Turkey while my Bulgarian relatives went to concentration camps..."

"Tarring the whole religion is counterproductive.....Arab Moslems are terrorists in training but many non Arab Moslems are not jihadists....."

"If there are no moderate muslims, as Fallaci says, then we are doomed.....Is it not better to call them Islamofascists or Jihadists?"

"The Koran is 'Mein Kampf'.....oh come on...."

"In order to be a moderate Moslem does one have to renounce the Koran? I think that as usual, Oriana goes too far."

All one has to do is read it, and behold! The truth is plain to see.

First, you need to put it in the order it was recited. That's why you need to read the life of Muhammad.(hadith)

It's Mein Kampf qualities become clear, and is what Jihadists follow.

As usual, Spencer puts things in perspective.

I should add, that the statement "The Koran is like Mein Kampf" is wrong.

Mein Kampf is like the Koran. Hitler saw Muhammads "redeaming qualities" and copied them.

Nor are these jihadists misrepresenting, twisting, or hijacking what the Qur'an says. Indeed, they are fiercely literalistic, taking the book's many martial verses at face value. There are over a hundred verses in the Qur’an that exhort believers to wage jihad against unbelievers. “O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be firm against them.

It would be very wise for everyone to remember this and point it out to those who seem to think there is such a thing as a moderate muslim. Moderate Muslims exist only to the extent there are muslims who have strayed from their "religion".

Its time to stop considering it a religion. Its time to start promoting the idea that islam must be banned as being incompatible with human life on earth.

Its time to stop have all sorts of mystical ways of spelling the word koran, its time to stop capitalizing the word as if it was worthy of respect.

Islam celebrates the military conquest of the Arabian peninsula.

I've yet to see any scholarly refutation of that central fact.

One thing to remember is that the majority of Muslims in the world today are illiterate. They have never read the Koran, let alone the hadath. So what they know of their religion depends on what the local mullahs choose to tell them. Many mullahs focus on Allah as merciful, and the parts of the Koran dealing with living a moral and compassionate life. That's why so many will insist that their religion does not support terrorism, is peaceful, etc. and really mean it, despite the clear writings of Mohamed to the contrary.

So what they know of their religion depends on what the local mullahs choose to tell them.

And since this so-called religion has no structure, no hierarchy, no central authority, you ARE a mullah if you call your self one. Therefore, those least able to make a living in any real way, become mullahs.

So when he went out to Badr to take the caravan belonging to the Quraysh, this was going out to fight, this is offensive – as Muhammad (Salalahu Alaihi Wasallam) initiated the action before the Quraysh. Likewise, when Muhammad (Salalahu Alaihi Wasallam) invaded Hawazin in the battle of Hunayn, when he (Salalahu Alaihi Wasallam) seiged Ta’if and the battle of Mutah to fight the Romans and the Battle of Tabuk – all of these are evidences to show that Jihaad is to start fighting kuffar (offensive). This should clarify the erroneous view that in origin Jihaad is defensive...
