Parker: Why is there so much Murtha in the news and so little Lieberman?
Salt Lake Tribune ^ | 6 December 2005 | By Kathleen Parker

Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, Murtha, (Lieberman), Murtha, Murtha, Murtha.

That's about how news coverage has gone the past several weeks concerning Rep. John Murtha's call to withdraw from Iraq versus Sen. Joe Lieberman's call to stand fast.

TOPICS: Editorial; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: lieberman; mainstream; media; murtha
Of course this is nothing new, but what is new is the lack of a Republican response. Murtha has been sainted just like Sheehan, Wilson and so forth and so on.

We need someone to give the facts of this editorial over and over again. Then someone has to begin a serious investigation of his brother and his relationship ot Murtha's office and the defense industry.

Murtha because of his military service has been given a pass. Seemingly, whenever the RATS find someone in their party who was not a traitor or a coward they puff him as the new incontrovertible anti-war activist.

It's easy, Murtha fits the MSM narrative, Lieberman does not.

It's very simple; Murtha advances the story the media wants to tell - Lieberman doesn't.

I think we'll see more Lieberman coverage. I know I've been hearing about him a lot more, especially with speculation about him for Sec. of Defense.

Lieberman should become a Republican
granted he would be a "moderate" but he apparently is more welcome on our team than the left

Meanwhile, the inept White House communications department are looking the other way and covering their ears.

I have ofter been amazed at the lost opportunities the WH has had, at coming out aggressively with their message.

Too busy being 'above the fray', I think.

Because Lieberman is a Jew. And thus a Neo-Con.
God Bless Him.

What is absolutely amazing to me is that the libs apparently think ordinary people cannot see their lies and blatant hypocrisy. They do a really crappy job of trying to recruit new voters to support their 'way of life'. I thought they were supposed to be the really smart people? I guess I was wrong about that!:-)

"I thought they were supposed to be the really smart people? "

There is a great quote from a Woody Allen Movie of all places: "He is a prime example of someone who is absolutely brilliant yet still has no idea what is going on"

I apply that statement to most "intellectuals" who sit around in cosy campuses and have no idea what it is like to work for a living
