Americans increasingly doubt that Carter will ever shut up and go away.

Jimmah went on to say that if we had just sent a few helicopters along with a couple C-130 transport planes we could have been in and out of Iran oops, Iraq before Saddam knew we were there. :P

How many men did he leave in the sands of Iran?

How could a President who is guaranteed to be out of office in 3 years implement such a policy?
To: ncountylee
Shouldn't the title read:
Former President Jimmy Carter believes that the hostages will never leave Tehran.
DAY 445

Carter elevated naivete and irrelevance to a national art form and was a disaster and embarrasement to his own country. Who cares what he thinks?

Lemme see now, we're still in Germany and Japan 60-years after WWII. We're still in Bosnia and other Balkan countries at least 5 years after the bent one promised we would be out. We still have military presence in England, Spain, Italy, Turkey, the pacific area, etc. So whats the problem with a middle-east presence in Iraq, to replace, oh say, Iran, which you Jimmah, screwed up SO BADLY?

Carter's comments came Tuesday during a brief visit at the U.S. Military Academy where he signed copies of his newest book for West Point cadets. Please tell me no cadets attended this book signing....
With regards to Iraq he's right though - blind chicken time!. But why do 'they' get so bent out of shape about it? I don't hear Kerry and Company complaining about troops in Japan, Germany, or Korea......

We were so lucky 25 years ago that the worst president of the 20th Century was followed by the best.
