Former President Jimmy Carter said he doubts whether the U.S. military will ever completely pull out of Iraq. This from the guy who figured out how to pull the US from the Canal Zone.
Jimmah, we won WWII. And we've been in Germany ever since. Winning a war and maintaining a military presence afterwards is considered a good thing by sane Americans.

Iraq will be the US anti-terror base in the Middle East until the War on Terror is won or lost.
I'm happy to see that Carter believes that the Democrats will never be in power for at least the next 50 years.
