Martin Denny and his band were playing instruments such as boo bams, tuned burmese gongs, piccolo xylophones and hawaiian gourds long before the beatles made sick bird calls by running tape backwards (like in tommorow never knows or whatever the heck it is...you know caw! caw! caw!) ....Sammy Hagar would never have the gall to cover Martin Denny!
Plus Denny's album covers alone elevate him above the beatles in my book.
