I know you spent a lot of time on this, but why?

John Lennon was one of the great rock 'n' rollers, the Beatles were a true entertainment phenomenon, and their music still rocks and has a lot to say. They're not dated, not a bit.

That's an extraordinary accomplishment. Politics ain't everything.

Yes, John Lennon is missed. His death was a tragedy. Had he lived, there is very little doubt the Beatles would have made more music together, after rifts had been healed by time, and might even have toured.

John -- and George -- were a big part of lots of our lives. Lots of us are sorry they are gone.

Agreed. Makes me harken back to my innocent and uncomplicated younger days. I remember, along with several girlfriends, winning a radio contest for tickets to see the opening show of A Hard Day's Night. Silly me,I actually tried to hear the dialogue over the screams of fellow Beatle fans;) Ah,good times, good times.

In the building where I used to work, the office down the hall belonged to a "dentist to the stars"...and believe me, we'd see tons of them coming and going, and I remember that leaning in a corner, he had one of George Harrison's electric guitars that he'd been given.

I saw it just a few months before Harrison died, and by then I'd left - but have wondered if the dentist got to maintain possession.

BTW, George Harrison and Bob Dylan were both extrememly ugly, up close and personal....but Nicole Kidman was a fine antidote; about 6 feet tall with the most beautiful complexion I'd ever seen...absolutely stunning.

I liked Lennon's songs on his last album "Double Fantasy", an album that was unfortunately marred by Yoko's contributions.

I felt that John was headed in the right direction around 1980. He seemed to have gotten his head on somewhat straight and was about to experience a creative rebirth. Maybe he never would have have become a conservative but it looked like maybe he wasn't going to be a hippy-dippy flower-power liberal anymore either. Maybe, given a few more years, he would have dumped Yoko too and put out a lot more good music. We'll never know but that is how I'd rather remember Lennon.
