Personally, if it wasn't so damn hot down there, I'd head to the south.

I am in New Hampshire at the moment, but lived in Tennessee 1999-2004. We found that winters are milder (but you do get some snow), and that summers were actually a bit cooler than New England's. If the heat bothers you? Central air...it's a beautiful thing. I'm headed back in spring...better weather; lower heating costs; MUCH LOWER taxes, and wonderful people. Can't wait...

I wish I could relocate- I work down south part of each winter, and the people are a pure pleasure to be around compared to up north... and you could bet that aside from the odd pocket of wack jobs, no one down there would sell these pins on anyone's offical web page.
But, sadly, I'm here, and God help me, Boston's infrastructure is suitable for my work. One of these days I'm going to look in my rear-view mirror and get turned into a pillar of salt.
