Lesbian Bike Group Trademarks Name ("Dykes on Bikes" proven not derogatory to gay community)

SAN FRANCISCO -- A San Francisco lesbian motorcycle group has successfully trademarked the name "Dykes on Bikes" after proving the gay community does not find it derogatory.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark office had denied the San Francisco group's applications for a federal trademark.

But the office reversed itself after being convinced the once-offensive term "dyke" has now become associated with gay pride.

The motorcycle club was founded nearly 30 years ago and became famous for leading San Francisco's annual gay pride parade.

Vick Germany, president of the San Francisco Women's Motorcycle Contingent, also known as Dykes on Bikes, said the decision was a huge victory.

I just finished reading "Do As I Say, Not As I Do." The author could expand it into a 27 volume series.
This is so typical, yet not as blatant as gang members who can't speak english peddling the 'N' word and hate speech across the country with scantily clad "ho's" only to stop on occasion for a Democratic fundraiser.

I think that most dykes are offensive whether they are on bikes or not.

The majority of bull dykes that I have met in the course my life have, in a manner of speaking, "enslaved" vulnerable young girls through sexual intimidation.

And while male homosexuality might be only about seventy percent genetic, the incident of genetic female homosexuality is probably much much higher and is therefore understandable and forgivable.

Still, many bull dykes disrupt the lives of innocent people.

And that is a shame.
