I am much more skeptical. How many think this was a setup from the beginning and when they are released, they will say how wonderfully they were treated by the insurgents as opposed to how the evil Americans torture people?

They might have tried to set this up, but I don't think that they realized that these guys are serious.
The ROPTM does actually hack their heads off. I don't think they expected that.
