Technically, Williams is scheduled to be executed early Tuesday morning, but the whole tookie story is in its final pages, so I suppose there's no reason to expect the media to start reporting the facts of the case accurately at this point.

I have read that he said he was "going out and kill some whiteys" prior to his killing spree.

How funny it is with these murderers. They kill people with no mercy. Then when it comes time to pay for thier crimes, they dont want to die. Did they think for one minute that their victims wanted to die? They show no mercy as they murder,and now its payback time. I hope Arnold doesn't over turn this guys death sentence. I read where they are expecting violence in the streets if they do execute him. Why doesn't the loving, peaceful, children book writing, Tookie stand up and denouce the 'possible' violence before his execution is carried out?

I'm a bit unorthodox on this one. I say grant him clemency and let him rot in San Quinten the rest of his life, out of the public eye. This guy is responsible for killing four people, and if he's executed, their memories will be forgotten as he is canonized as a martyr for the various causes lining up behind him.

Tookie doesn't deserve to be a martyr...no matter what the cause is. The families of his victims do not deserve to have the memories of his crimes whitewashed...and to have their killer become some sort of secularized saint.

Who cares if he is a martyr? At least he would be dead. If you live by the sword you will die by the sword.
I work in a mens prison in Huntsville Tx, and prison isn't as bad as it use to be. Some of the inmates actually like prison life. The Prison system doesn't make them do hard labor anymore because that is "cruel and unusual punishment". They get 3 meals a day, free medical care, and a bed to sleep in. Its not the best in the world but for most of them its better than what they had on the streets. They look at life in prison as "cool". Tookie should not be allowed to live. If he has been handed a death sentence, then death is what he should get.

The killings themselves were motivated by race. Williams bragged of his intention to kill more whites and refered to his asian victims as "Buddha Heads".

That's what really galls me. If a white guy killed blacks and bragged about how many he killed, the googoos would be demanding his execution.
