And why is that? Are so many people stuck, unable to get beyond Republicanism 101? When is the last time you heard Hannity say something insightful and interesting?
But if you need to hear "We must win in Iraq and support the President no matter what" 47 times per show, or hear Sean and some old guy slurp each other to a dinky-dink theme song at the end, it's the show for you.
Fortunately, there's room on the air and the Internet for lots of hosts. Even boring ones.
He was on the SBVfT story on radio and TV for WEEKS before Rush decided to start covering it. Over 12 million people listen to his show, so he IS reaching people who might not otherwise be reachable. You may not like Hannity, but he's one of the Good Guys, is therefore one of US and doesn't deserve the constant attacks.
I have to agree, it's nerve-wracking. I'll tune in on my way home from work and only listen if he's got a worthwhile interview going. When I tune in and "Let Freedom Ring" is playing, or some caller is busy stroking his ego, that's it, I immediately tune out for the day.
Well, as I said before, evidently 12.5 million people don't agree with your assessment of Hannity. I honestly don't understand why so many people here at FR criticize him. It seems to me that many just repeat what others are saying to "fit in" rather than truly thinking for themselves. Most of the criticisms have no truth to them and reveal that the critics don't really listen to him.
Hannity isn't #2 for nothing, and there's only a small gap between him and Rush, as compared to the larger one between Sean and the one in the #3 slot (can't remember who it is at the moment).
