The only FACT that we have to concentrate on is that as long as this property grab is allowed, so unconstitutional that it boggles the mind, none of us really own own homes. Property will always be subject to grab - as, obviously, the town/city would realize higher taxes from a business or mega-business than from private homes.
If this is allowed to stand, we own our homes only at the sufferance of the local governments and their easily bought off mayors, et al.
This is one of the most egregious threats to our rights and freedoms that we have seen since 1776 - believe it. (Don't believe it to your peril. When a mayor can make the statement, as that mayor did, that these people who don't want to lose their homes are "selfish" (!) - well, if that doesn't send a shudder up your spine, you'd better check and see if your breath registers on a mirror.
This is going to spread like wildfire across this country - I can all but see the developers, contractors and town officials who stand to get their hands filled with payoffs, from sea to shining sea. Do not think that your home is safe.
You are only 'renting' from your local government who can evict you at their pleasure.
Don't kill the messenger (Hannity) - get the message.
You need to look at the FL case again. Hannity got his facts wrong on this one case. The people he interviewed lied on TV.
