The boomers are actually split into 2 groups, those who were and stayed liberal, and those who rejected such(either initially or over time.) Most of the latter will probably fare well in their final days with good family relations. Many of the former can look forward to enjoying the fruits of their actions while abandoned in a nursing home.

The boomer generation is not really a generation. There are huge differences between the early boomers and the later boomers. In fact this group is now called Generation Jones. Unlike the boomers, who are reliabley liberal as a group Generation Jones were Bush's biggest supporters in the last election (by age).

Boomers are split between Barbara Striesand and normal people. We have to stay on our game; oppose the left even if it is not in our handout interest. However, I would guess we will suffer dementia. My father-in-law the conservative of all conservatives, wanted free drugs from the governement in his 90's. He totally forgot who he was and went with his most base instincts as he aged. This, even though he had plenty of money saved for his drugs. I feel sorry for the next generation. Boomer will rob them blind.

What you said is true (about 2 types of Boomers).

As for this statement, I just want to comment: I can't imagine the 1st type even growing old, let alone in a nursing home. So stunted are they they can't confront age, let alone infirmity.

I see a lot of suicide in their future, be it assisted (euthanasia), self-inflicted, or the result of self-destructive behavior.
