Then lets start freeping jurists deciding death sentences. We might as well start early. Governors are public figured elected by their constiuents to enforce the will of the legislature. Juries are not. Big difference!

In this case the elected official is charged with protecting all of us from having a judicial system making a mistake before applying the death penalty. It protects all of us.
If you want to turn that process into a mob mentality, then I will call that disgusting. You go ahead and stand on the steps and yell for Barabbas.
