Judge Stanwood Duval extended the program until Feb. 7.

The temporary restraining order came from a class action lawsuit filed in November by advocates for hurricane victims. Attorneys pressing the lawsuit said FEMA has failed to provide aid to many who qualify and that information on the aid has been slow.......

Unbelievable. This is a classic case of judicial activism, and doing the math the average cost of a hotel room is $70+ a night -- and that's probably at a discount.

Where else can you get a nice room with free (for them) housekeeping. Nowhere! They'll have to keep extending the deadline if the deadline is not firm.

Why do we need federal, state, county, and local governments if judges are going to run everything ?

Maybe we should just disband government and just have judges tell us what to do, kind of like the mullahs do in Islam. /sarc.

I would love to see the numbers of those actually moving out of the hotels due to finding work...

How long can it take to find an apartment with FEMA to guarantee your rent?

How about until after the election in LA?

But, don't you dare criticize the judge - that's not good for our "judicial" system.

And if you do it in a court room, he can put you in jail.

"How about until after the election in LA"

At east you didn't say "til the next HONEST election in LA" - I'm not sure the government has that much!
