Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger refused Monday to spare the life of Stanley Tookie Williams, the founder of the murderous Crips gang who awaited execution after midnight in a case that stirred debate over capital punishment and the possibility of redemption on death row.
Schwarzenegger was not swayed by pleas from Hollywood stars and petitions from more than 50,000 people who said that Williams had made amends during more than two decades in prison by writing a memoir and a series of children's books about the dangers of gangs.
With a reprieve from the federal courts considered unlikely, Williams, 51, was set to die by injection at San Quentin State Prison early Tuesday for murdering four people in two 1979 holdups.
I thought steroids made things BIG!.........
Maybe if these anti-death penalty kooks chose less detestable people as their poster-children...

California gives them a choice...he can pick gas or injection. If he doesn't pick...it'll be picked for him...lethal injection.
Unfortuantely, they've switched to injection. Gas, being a truly horrible, allbeit brief, experience is far more appropriate, especially for a vile subhuman POS like this thing.
Now they'll say there will be riots.
And they'll be wrong again.

Owen was a white teenage clerk at a 7-11 convenience store, shot twice in the back of the head -- execution-style -- as he lay unarmed on the floor during a hold-up. A witness testified that Williams mocked the gurgling sounds Owen made as he lay dying. "You should have heard the way he sounded when I shot him," the witness quoted Williams.
The Yangs were Taiwanese immigrants who, along with their daughter Yee Chen Lin, were gunned down during a motel robbery two weeks after Owen died. Half of the daughter's face was blown off by the shotgun blasts, former L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Robert Martin told me in an interview this week. Williams called them "Buddhaheads," Martin recounted, and robbed them of petty cash.
Williams has yet to apologize to the victims' families. When the trial ended, Martin told me, Williams muttered to the prosecution team, "I'll get every one of you m-----f-----s." Spoken like a Nobel laureate.
I don't like rap or hip-hop or whatever they call it this week, but it's not worth the death penalty............well, maybe a little..........
About five minutes of dangle and strangle would really be fitting here.

Freeper's all...this was the right decision by Arnold. Let's not celebrate over Tookies impending death however. It's all a tragedy and gut-wrenching for ALL involved. Let God decide his eternal fate. Remember we all have sinned and gone astray in some form or fashion. Thats why Christ the Savior was born into this world to save us sinners.
