Michael Moore is Not Your Friend
Say Uncle ^ | December 11th, 2005

Posted on 12/13/2005 9:52:18 AM PST by AmericanMade1776

Mark Twain used to say there were three kind of lies. Lies, damned lies, and statistics. When it comes to Michael Moore there are five kind of lies. Kay S. Hymowitz wrote an excellent article, “Michael Moore, Humbug” that digs deep down into the muck and deceit that is Michael Moore. Hymowitz wrote, “the five Michael Moore lies are, bold-faced lies, lies of omission, artistic lies, slanted insinuating lies, and lies of exaggeration.”

You might ask why should we care?

We should care because Michael Moore’s next project may involve each and every one of us in Tennessee. The film “Sicko” is Michael Moore’s next project and sadly TennCare may be a focal part of this film. At this point it is not clear how much focus will be on TennCare. A thirty-minute documentary on TennCare has recently caused concern by a few observant people. At the end of this documentary when the credits run there is a credit for Michael Moore. What is the credit for? Was Michael Moore a consultant on this documentary?

Will “Sicko” be just another Michael Moore attack on the drugs companies or will it be a push for socialized medicine? What role will TennCare have in this new film? Most importantly, will the people of Tennessee be fairly portrayed in this film?

"will it be a push for socialized medicine?"

Do we even need to ask?

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear."

--Marcus Tullius Cicero 42 BC

Just out of morbid curiosity, I'd love to see how he defends TenneCare as I'm sure he will (being the big fat liberal he is).

I'm sure he's going to wheel out a bunch of seriously ill people who now have no way to pay for their health care, medicine, nurses, etc. etc.

He will not dare go into the fact of why it failed - financially unsustainable just as all socialized programs are. He won't dare tell the viewer in order to keep TenneCare going, Tennessee citizens would have to be taxed out the @ss and NOT just the rich ones! He won't dare go into the fact that such a continued system - with the elderly population growing and the supply of doctors shrinking (I'm sure most couldn't wait to get out of Tennesee during TenneCare) - that old people in severe pain would wait months and months for surgery they desperately need.

Once again, he will skew the facts and simply play to emotions. But after Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, I think most are finally catching on to his act. Those who still believe F 9/11 is FACT are people who can't be reasoned with.

Michael Moore is a P.T. " A Sucker Born Every Minute" Barnum. And who else but liberals are as easy to gull into believing anything??? He plays them like the fools they are.

McCain could have scored far better if he had kept a stern face at that moment. Instead he turned giggly and back-slapping.

Poor delivery, very stupid, and a wasted opportunity. (Thanks, John...)

In Peter Schweizer's book "Do As I Say, Not As I Do," he exposes the fact that dear Mikey's foundation has traded shares of stock not only in Halliburton, oil companies, and defense contractors, but in many Big Pharma companies too. How many ways are there to say that Mikey is a complete and utter fraud (and an anti-American traitor too, since he's rooting for Zarqawi & Gang).

Yep. And don't forget 'pouring over the text' (rather than the correct 'poring over the text') and 'hone in on' (rather than the correct 'home in on').

There's a thousand of 'em, and each one of 'em is irritatin'!
