LOUISVILLE, Ky. A Metro Corrections has been suspended after being charged with five counts of sexual abuse of an eight-year-old girl.

Lieutenant Norman Norris was charged Monday with two counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of incest and one count of sexual abuse. Norris turned himself in yesterday. He entered a plea of not guilty in court this morning and was orderd held on a one-hundred thousand dollar cash bond.

Pam Windsor of Metro Corrections says Norris was booked and is being housed in an undisclosed jail. Norris was suspended without pay pending the outcome of the case.

He was placed in another jail so he wouldn't be kept with inmates that he had overseen. Windsor says none of the charges are connected with Norris' work at the jail.

Norris has worked for Metro Corrections for eight years.

His daughter. That should make him "special".

No fun for this guy. If guilty, put him in the general population with a sign around his neck.

"He was placed in another jail so he wouldn't be kept with inmates that he had overseen."

That's too bad. I think he should have been deliberately placed with ones he had overseen.

He should be put in with everybody else. Why does he get special treatment?

Anybody like pork chops? How 'bout a ham sandwich?

Not only did he do it , his father molested his step daughter for about 4 years.. she is a sweet woman but has a lot of issues from this terrible event in her life. He definitely got it from his father, I was her friend back when she finally decided to press charges in the early nineties and she warned the judge that the entire family was SICK!!!!!! She decided to press charges so it would not happen to another girl.. to bad she did not have the clout to make the courts listen. The son of the father has had issues ..I hope the prosecutor checks his ROTC high school incident and military records. The mother's background with the public school systems should be checked also. I love this woman and I hope one day she will be able to feel safe and secure but I doubt if she ever will..She lost friends when she exposed the father and some of those same people have tried to contact her miming an apology for how they treated her as if she were crazy. I hope the entire family goes straight to ..She has moved on and reclaimed her biological father which she says he ain't the greatest dad but he NEVER looked at a child as a sexual being a day in his life. The irony is the father who molested her has created a life vicariously on retirement in a nice home that her mother helped create. She on the other hand lives in a neighborhood that is beneath her and the people are not on the same level as her intellect and cultural background. It's rumored that Norris and his biological parents had to go to counseling in the mid '80's for sexual abuse. Gee ya think any one was paying attention to a pattern here. My firend did her best years ago to warm people about his SICK family ..but you know folks still would rather believe appearances than the TRUTH. The prosecutor needs to investigate the father as well ..I believe it was a team molestation.

Anything new about me you care to report? Or are you just interested in shock value like any other media hound? Obviously, there was a lot more to this story, since I’m writing to you from my house. I understand that my occupation lends itself to scrutiny. And I accept that. However, I thought forums such as this would have been above throwing someone to the wolves based on another reporter’s story.

Hi. You'll notice that I'm not hiding behind a fake name. A couple of things to mention. I don't know what has you twisted but it wasn't me. So jumping on me from a distance and in disguise won't excorcise your “demons”. Second threatening me with violence doesn't really make me sweat. Hell, I get paid pretty well to get threatened on a regular basis. Anyway, if you what to give me a call you know how to find me.

You were correct on you observation about my housing location. I would have prefered to stay in my hometown like any other inmate. However, because of my “special status” I was moved out of town. I would have prefered to have regular visits from my family and friends and all the other privilages that other inmates typically get. However, that wasn’t the case. All I can say to you is what I have already posted earlier. Obviously there was a lot more to the story that initially broke. I ‘m writing this from my house. However, if you still what that ham sandwich do you mind if I bring a pot of neck bones?

The original post is over two years old. So, what happened in the meantime?
