No -- his screen name was Michael Rivero. He was a serious conspiracy theorist. Among other things, he loved to post some pictures of a Ryder truck as "evidence" of ... well, I can't remember what, exactly, but it was of course a big conspiracy. He got more and more bizarre and abusive, and was finally banned.

As evidence that a Ryder truck identical to the one used in the OKC bombing, with military support equipment and personnel, was indeed at the Special Forces and FEMA training compound at Camp Gruber near Briggs OK at the approximate time of the bombing.

Was he [Mike Rivero ]the guy known as OKCSubmariner? If so, why in the world was he banned? I've asked this countless times but have never received an answer.

Pat Briley, aka OKCSubmariner was from OKC. Pat was a diligent researcher, but, unfortunately, he sometimes exhibited symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia. As long as you agreed with him, all was fine. But, if you disagreed with him in the slightest, you could see his mind magnify that disagreement over the course of an evening from different opinion to perceived attack, to enmity, and, finally, to outright persecution.

Although he had a vast array of facts at hand, he sometimes had difficulty distinguishing his own opinions from his facts -- and he refused to document his evidence. It primarily was for those reasons that we were unable to use his otherwise excellent information in the OKBIC Final Report.

Personally, I like Pat, but I do recall that, in a fit of his paranoid fury he did "out me" once by name in this forum -- a strict no-no... I didn't "blow the whistle on" him, but, perhaps he pulled a similar stunt on a less-forgiving FReeper; I just dont know for sure.

But, I do miss the guy sometimes...
