Actually, for Gordon's benefit, the lawyer joke that should ease your mind and lighten things up (and you can tell in reply each time you hear a mean one is:
"95% of lawyers give the rest of us a bad name."
(You will find that this is true, as 90% are incompetent to one degree or another, and half the rest are competent but unethical or immoral.)
