Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has lashed out again.
The newly elected Republican Ohio Representative scolded Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean for comments he made Wednesday about pulling U.S. soldiers out of Iraq.
She also criticized Mr. Dean for calling the war unwinnable.
"I say shame on you Howard Dean. Shame on you Mr. Dean for telling our troops and our enemies that we cannot win this war. Shame on you for choosing today, the day millions of Iraqis are going to the polls to vote to spread your lies," Schmidt said.
She continued:
"I continue to support our troops and I'll match my rhetoric against Mr. Dean's anyday and let the public decide who really supports our men and women in uniform."
He just needs a hug. Then he will stop crying.
We need to clone this lady !
Good job Jean!
It's rather odd. I don't remember a single liberal fanatic ever being accused of "lashing out."
Yeah I know. In fact even the Marine reserve colonel that she quoted from, wimped out as well and disavowed his statement, so both he & Jean Schmidt looked stupid & cowardly afterwards. Another Republican bites the dust against the treasonous DimWits. Sad to say that the cowardly Repukes have just about elevated the traitor Murtha to sainthood.... Rat B@st@rd cowards!
Like you, I hope that this time Jean Schmidt doesn't end up retracting and apologizing for her comments this time. They are dead on, but I bet not a single national Repuke has gone on record to second her comments and to condemn the DimWits for undermining the war on terror. Plus putting our troops in danger by giving aid & encouragement to the terrorists!
I think I like this lady.
Seniority my minimal derriere, this woman should be the new Majority leader!!!
lol, we gotta protect her, she's shark bait.
She is terrific. About time.
You Go, Girl! Thank you!
I was going to say the same thing; we need more pubs like her in congress.
She only backed down because the wimps in our party were going to allow her to be censured over the remarks (true as they were).
How about if Tom DeLay isn't able to retake his job they elect Jean to replace him -- I'd love to see a match up between her and Pelosi.
Do we have a decent option to DeWinne here?
where in Ohio is she from?
2nd district (southern Ohio stretching from Lebanon in the west to Portsmouth in the east).
She's new in the house. Good to have at least one repub that has some balls. Someone that isn't afraid to speak straight.
You go there girl.
Now THAT is funny.
Glad someone said it.
