Officer Accused of Damaging Pro-Bush Cars (AF plans discharge)
Myway news ^ | ROBERT WELLER

DENVER (AP) - The Air Force Reserve plans to discharge a lieutenant colonel accused of defacing cars that had pro-Bush bumper stickers, the military said Friday.

Lt. Col. Alexis Fecteau, a pilot with 500 combat hours in the first Persian Gulf war and the Balkans, is charged with criminal mischief for allegedly using paint stripper to write a profanity about Bush in 18-inch-high letters on cars at Denver International Airport.

The cars had bumper stickers supporting President Bush and conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh.

Jim Miller, a spokesman for the Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., said the command plans to begin the process of giving Fecteau an administrative discharge. He said Fecteau does not face any military punishment.

Neither Fecteau nor his lawyer, Patrick Mulligan, immediately returned calls. Mulligan has said Fecteau would plead innocent.

Fecteau is charged with 13 counts of criminal mischief, five of them felonies because the damage to five vehicles was estimated at more than $500 each.

Police said the vehicles were damaged between January and July and a video camera recorded Fecteau damaging a vehicle.

"...the command plans to begin the process of giving Fecteau an administrative discharge."

I read that to mean Fecteau was given the opportunity to resign his commission and leave the Air Force or he would face a courts martial.

I agree. Liberals are too criminally inclined for me to display symbols of Conservatism on my car.

I'm just grateful this clown will no longer have any role defending our country. I imagine he applied the same sort of judgment and skill in his military duties that he demonstrated in this private commando raid of his.

I admit, with a small amount of shame, I am as insidious as the libs re: bumper stickers. If I spy a Kerry sticker or a ‘blame Bush’ sticker I will not let them onto the freeway or into my lane. If I see a W04… come on over!!

"Liberals are sinister, and the epitome of hypocrisy."

The liberal nut-fringe is made up of low-brow slope-heads who would have been concentration camp guards not too many years ago.

Instead of arguing with these folks face to face he vandalizes their cars while they are away. More proof that liberals are cowards.

An officer cannot receive a Dishonorable Discharge. Only enlisted, and through a General Courts-Martial, can receive a dishonorable discharge as a form of punishment. The equivalent for an officer is dismissal from the service. That also can only be given as a form of punishment after conviction by a General Courts-Martial.

Unfortunately, this guy is being allowed to resign and probably already has over 20 years in the military, which means he'll get the pension. This is usually what happens to commissioned officers and it really is a shame that there are low standards for people with so much authority. This guy most likely administered an Article 15 to an Airman at some time during his career- now, he's getting away with embarrassing the military while committing crimes. As a field grade officer, he should not have the choice of resigning or getting a Court Marshall.

"Liberals believe that you shouldn't have ANY private property..."

I think, in truth, that should be amended to be accurate. Liberals believe that non-liberals shouldn't have ANY private property while the Liberals, who are of course vastly more knowledgable and capable, can handle the responsibilties and social obligations involved with having property.

Surely you jest.

Although you are correct. Liberals do believe that they hold all of lifes answers, whether you like it or not. And they will cram it down your throat whether you like it or not.

Roger than DilJective,
It is a shame, and as you stated he probably passed the twenty year mark.

I reminds me of hte FBI agent Hanssen who was passing secrets to the Russians.

He was allowed to keep his full pension. It supposedly is going to his family. Hanssen is housed probably at the Club Fed facility in minimum security.

Funny how a person(military) uttered a word about the POS klintoon, they were railroaded quickly from the service.

He must have a bunch of POS liberals in his chain of command.

The UCMJ should apply to him just as it does for enlisted personnel.

We all know it does not in many cases.

Morning TJI,
I have always though it to be funny in that communists know they are communist, but liberals do not.

Prudent Patriotic Americans, see what happpens when a communist(klintoon) takes office. The USA goes into a downhill slide at all levels.

Electing a liberal is metaphorically the saem as placing a rattle-snake in your bed.

Deport every liberal to Dafur,

More and more people have less and less respect for private property.

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

These are the dorks you're dealing with

My dad said Bush and the guy said "no charge-if you had said Kerry, I would have taken the $20".

Right after the first election, I had a new stereo installed in my car - I had printed out the "Sore/Loserman" sign that was all the rage. The installer came in to the building and told me "At first, I thought it was a Gore/Lieberman sign - then I read it again and laughed my ass off!" I got in the car and about blew my ears out - I ended up with a new set of speakers in the car as well as the stereo.
