Even former Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno has endorsed the Patriot Act;
I know. She pushed for it when Clinton was president. I opposed it then, and still do today.

What is all the alarm today about whether the Chief Exec allowed spying on citizens without court warrant, if the Patriot Act supposedly allows a blank check on such activity?

And I'll bet you can't point to a single case where the Patriot Act was abused prior to today.

Only an idiot would question the President following 9-11 using all the means possible to prevent another attack. It amazes me that folks are so adamant about their rights that in the process they overlook that those same rights just might cause all of their rights, along with their lives to disappear..

It takes an anthrax attack, dirty nukes, or a smoking crater where a city once stood to get people to realize that these constitutional common-sense law enforcement measures are needed.

Franklin didn't have to deal with nukes or insane Muslims!
To: mtnwmn
True, there are a lot that aren't so vigilant.

Of course she would support it....after what happened to Elian Gonzales, I'm not surprized one bit.
Just wait til federal agents start raiding our homes for "terroristic" acts sicu as smoking or growing marijuana.
Wait a minute...they already do! This makes the Patriot Act even more dangerous.
