Debate over escaped elephant
An escaped elephant is roaming the streets of St Petersburg - while authorities try to decide whose job it is to catch it.
The animal, which was being transported through Russia by an unnamed Finnish company, escaped from its container by smashing through its walls.
There have been a number of sightings around the city but no one has tried to catch the elephant yet.
Local media say it's unclear which arm of the St Petersburg emergency services is responsible for escaped elephants.
Someone Russian is going to have a holly jolly big Christmas dinner.
Apropos nothing, I read somewhere that the only word in the English language derived from Malay was "amok". Seems to fit in this instance. :<)
Uh, its the middle of the Russian winter up that way. I don't think this elephant is going to roam around too much longer. The debate will be which rendering plant will the carcass end up at.
The elephant is obviously upset with being saddled with the Liberal Europe Situation. He would like nothing more to be the RNC's new mascot, so bring him to Washington to deposit manure over Dim Dem feet. Perhaps they will root themselves on the spot and leave.
It should not be too difficult to track. They're pretty scarce down there.
OOPS! Not Florida this time. Most stray elephants are around winter headquarters of the circus. Sarasota/St Pete, right?
Isn't this appropriately enough a job for RINO Floridians?
