Brisbane rally condemns racism (Australian racism)

18dec05

ABOUT 60 protesters have rallied in Brisbane to condemn race-fuelled violence raging in Sydney.

The rally began at Anzac Square in the CBD around midday, descending on Queen Street Mall before finishing at King George Square about 3.30pm (AEST). The protesters called for understanding, blaming politicians for the underlying "hatred" which culminated in last Sunday's race riot at Cronulla beach, in Sydney's south, and retaliatory "smash and bash" attacks.

Protester Amas Abdalla, a 22-year-old Brisbane student, told the rally: "I can't deny that racism exists - because we are the living proof that racism exists in this country."

"It's the politicians that have whipped up the hatred."

The protest was flanked by several police officers but there were no problems, a police spokeswoman said.

"It was a completely peaceful protest - police were just there to make sure no incidents happened," the spokeswoman said.

"We had traffic control in Edward Street because the protest was at the bottom of Queen Street Mall ... they did have a permit to be in Anzac Square ... we were notified it was a peace rally."

No need to highlight the background of the speakers at this rally. Note the politicians were responsible for the so-called race riots in Sydney. More on this later.

Why is it racism to try to keep your way of life from a group of people stuck in the 14th century who will feel they have the right to rape or kill anybody who does not agree with them?

As usual, muslims do vile dirty deeds, then whine racism and victimhood, and the liberals immediately blame anyone but muslims.

There is a character in Australia called Keysar Trad who invariably complains about Australian racism towards Muslims. Today he was at the anti-racism rally in Sydney alongslide the liberals who invariably condemn John Howard. He is the spokesperson for the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia (or some such body). Below is a quote that refers to Mr Trad:
"In Sydney(Bankstown) August 2000 my daughter was
gang raped by 14 Lebanese Muslims. She was raped over a 6 hour period by 3 different gangs in 3 different locations.
This is the same person(Keysar Trad) who blamed my daughter for the rapes saying it was Australian society that was to blame. With the court cases still continuing today and more to come I am just so tired of these morons having any say."

Look, as much as anyone, I would think it would be easy to blame Muslims, but the fact is, is that only about 1/3 of the group involved in this is Muslim. And it is also related to a territory issue over surfing--you would have to live in Austrlia to understand the beach culture and how surfers only allow certain people to be on their beaches, no mater what the race is. Over 50% of the Lebanese involved in Sydney are Christian. This is much more a gang related problem, not very much different than you have in LA or other big cities in the USA. Unfortunately, the Lebanese have adopted the "rapster" mentality that you see in the USA. While this, indeed, may be a racial/culture issue, it is not a religious issue.

This problem may be cultural, ethnic, religious or whatever but it's not racism.

Lebanese are Caucasian, just like the Aussies.

The problem goes back a number of years. It is not a racial issue. The Lebanese have been in Australia for over 100 years and are an integral part of Australian society. The problems that surfaced a week ago at Cronulla beach had been simmering for a number of years. The fact is that a certain number of Muslim Lebanese that arrived from the 1970s have not adjusted to Australia.

After that, pack them up and send them back to the sand dunes. Amen.

"it is not a religious issue"???

It sure sounds like a muslim problem to me. It sounds like muslims not assimilating to me. The muslims think their culture should dominate wherever they go.

Call it religious or cultural or whatever, it sounds like muslim trouble to me. Islam is not really a religion anyway. It is a cult of mind control.
