LOL! Silliness. They don't have the nerve to ask disruptive people to leave, so they want the government to Do Something.

In this case I'm supportive: they're begging for the right to do what they should be free to do anyway on their property.

Boy are you right on the mark Tax-chick.

I attended a Theater Organ concert last week and a group of, shall we say diminished IQs, spent the entire concert uttering all sorts of non-verbal sreaching sounds at maximum volume. Their caregiver made little effort to shut them up.

The group running the concert did not want to risk a discrimination lawsuit so they refused to show this group the door.

The other people who came to hear the artist were less than pleased.

I don't care if it is a cell phone or retarded people, common sense should prevail. shhhhhhhhh!

More incrementalism that will soon let goobermint tell the theaters they can't sell sugar drinks, candy & popcorn crap that causes obesity.......:o)

Government is easy to invite in to your life but hard to make leave when they overstay their welcome IMO.....

I figure that movie theaters are soon to be extinct themselves. Yet all that aside folks that don't turn off the ringer on their cellulars in a meeting, a movie, church, resturant etc and place it in vibrate mode are just rude dummy's.....

Just my opinions of course.....

Well, it should not be illegal for them to block signals. I think any private company should be able to block signals within their buildings or complex.

They can have my cell phone when they pry it from my cold, dead hand.

My son is working at a local theatre while he goes to school. He has lots of stories where they have asked people to turn off their phones and even have asked them to leave. He said they have finally been told to approach the situation very cautiously as people will get very hostile and belligerent to the point of physically assaulting the theatre attendants. He said this is a fairly common occurence. I think theatres are at a point where they have tried everything they can and are not successful. Therefore it is time for someone with some authority to help the situation.
