I posted the marker because the thread already had dozens of posts without the speech even beginning.

His power to harm a single man, woman or child is gone forever and the world is better. Since the removal, this war, like other wars, has been difficult.

The mission of our troops, fighting saddam loyalists and terrorists has caused loss and sorrow for our nation and led some to ask if we were creating more problems than we were solving. That's an important question and the answer depends on the view of the WOT.

If you think if we stop provoking terrorists and they will stop attacking us, then it makes sense to think leave them alone.

That is not my view.

The President is doing very well, much better than other speeches without an audience. He is sounding firm and not hesitant, and is doing very well with the teleprompter.

Leading up to this speech, I've been watching the History Channel and a program on the ties between Nazi Germany in WW2 and their alliances with anti-Jewish Muslim extremists, leading to the rise of Saddam Hussein.

60-some years later, here we are. The importance of world international politics and the importance of doing the right thing and the consequences of losing.

What shocks me is how many people do not get this very simple fact- "Constitutional democracy in the heart of the middle east"

"Wish the Prez had Clinton's charm..."

Clinton didn't have charm, he had the expertise of being a bull-$hit artist.
