Oh, I think they've turned it around now that we have gay cowboys. That's what theatergoers the country around have been waiting for...right?
By the way, did you read that the producers of Brokeback Mountain are the ones that will be making the Lonesome Dove prequel? My chaps can scarcely contain my excitement...
To: poobear
Perhaps, but I do not remember Hollywood marching lockstep off the cliff of anti American kookdom as they are now.
John Wayne, among many others, would have bitch slapped them, and then kicked collective ass.
And that is diametrically opposed to the "kissing ass" that the MSM does to them now days.
That was the WaPo and other reporting left wingers.

It's all about image. In the past we had actors and actresses who had at least the image of morality, were patriotic and if they weren't always playing the part of the good guys they were at least NOT telling us what we ought to believe and how stupid we are for supporting a president THEY disapprove of.
IN a nutshell, in the past Hollywood players had a positive image and simply entertained us. Today the image of these players just plain sucks.

I read that he didn't write any books, just had a ghost writer.

I simply refuse to give money to any Hollywood cause now.
I don't go to theaters and, for that matter, simply pirate DVD and videos.
I know, its all bad.
- I am stealing money from the hard working people who work in hollywood and make little compared to the execs and actors who make billions and Billions and Billions.
Hey, I love Jessica Simpson, and she made over 35 million last year.
But not 10 cents from me. - I know, I'm all bad.
And proud of it.

and alleged quadruple murderer and co-founder of the Crips gang
thats right ... 'alleged' ... call me crazy but i thought he was convicted of the murders... that means its not alleged anymore... it was alleged when he was arrested and booked and awaited trial .. soon as judication was served, he is now 'convicted'.
i shouldnt be surprised, its the MSM after all.
To: SampleMan
Its NOT ALLEGED, he was CONVICTED I love the linguistic gymnastics that journalists must preform in order to remain in good standing with the PC police.
Remember Malvo of the dynamic freeway snipper duo of Mohamed and Malvo? He had to be referred to as an "African-American" even though he was an illegal immigrant from Jamaica.

"Hollywood's perceived victory over Joe McCarthy and his blacklisting of suspected subversive communists is history." McCarthy did not have a "blacklist." Congress directed no such thing either. Hollywood blacklisted themselves.

They don't have a /sarcasm tag at WND. See... my mistake. I should've read the whole article. I stopped when I read "alleged", though I was able to take "celebrated" with a grain of salt because of the Hollywood freaks.

You must conclude sarcasm, since I'd hardly say that the rest of the column caters to the PC police.
To: WasDougsLamb
You misunderstand. The whole article dripped sarcasm. It was delicious to read. :)

Uhm, why is the author still saying "alleged"? Given the tenor of the article, one could reasonably assume it was meant as sarcasm.
