If this is at all realted to the releasing of a German hostage, it is a cowardly act deserving of the contempt of all Americans.

This is total BS. The Germans did this with the Munich terrorists too, trading captives for the assurance that their planes/government wouldn't be targeted in the future. They're selling out their "allies" for terrorists.

If I recall correctly, the Chuck Norris film "Delta Force" was mostly based on the story of this hijacking.

The German government denied on Tuesday the release was related to the freeing of a German hostage in Iraq.

At least the German gov't admits the trade.
