GOOGLE site:www.npr.org "Think Blue"
A search of GOOGLE npr "Think Blue" "Democrat Bracelet" finds many more hits as the words are being used to advertise this piece. You will find that the left bitches about the Republicans trying to place stories in the media favorable to the administration. They call this "propaganda". When the media runs a DNC press release AS news, they consider this a job well done.
The difference between what Rush Limbaugh does and what NPR/Pacifica do is all in the difference of being a for profit business vs. being a 501c3 "charity". Those 501c3s VOLUNTARILY accept limitations on their political speech in exchange for their tax status.
I see no evidence that NPR was favoring the "Think Blue" people in their coverage. Now, I don't doubt for one second that the large majority of PBS employees do indeed favor them, but this is just a case of "Think Blue" taking advantage of Yahoos advertisement technology.
Already tried to google it, and could I not find anything other than ads.
There is a difference between, for example, NPR doing a segment on fundrasing and mentioning orgs like thinkblue or swift boats etc. and NPR doing a story on all the happy people wearing their blue bracelets. Both would be examples of "featured in" but one would be a valid news story and the other a violation.
