Had this been a dem, some of the same people on here who are attacking the article would be feigning outrage. It is the way things work in Washington, DC, but that doesn't make it right or good for our democracy. Want to know why our reps can't reign in their out of control spending? Its because they feel beholding to those special interests who give them these really expensive dinners, and trips to golf courses. For some like Duke Cunningham, being in congress is nothing but a meal ticket and they will punch it any way possible. There are some in congress who shy away from this dirty game. Delay isn't one of them. He's always been very good at getting things done, but he has never been what you can describe as an idealist.
