Okay, what's the point of this article? I fail to see the news value. Are they this desperate to make Republicans looks bad? Hey, if you can't find something really wrong...make it up, MSM. (First ever post, so hope I did it right)

Cheap shot smear.
I'd be more excited if EVERY freeloading junketeer in Congress were exposed. Then we'd be getting somewhere.

The resort offers six swimming pools and an 18-hole championship golf course. Its casino served as the setting for the last scene in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger." Call me DeLay. Tom DeLay. But is there Pussy Galore, or Dr. Goodhead? Now that would be newsworthy.

And who paid for the Clinton's Chappaqua furnishings, not to mention helped them get loans for their New York home when they were thwarted from getting the funding from Terry McAwful?

if they could come up with someone in congress who doesn't live this kind of lifestyle via lobbyists and donations THEN they would have a real story.
this is why not a one wants term limits.....they could be paid $1 a year and they would still be living like kings.

The point of the article is to do what the DNC and MoveOn.Org tells its reporters to do. The left-wing anti-American media has its own agenda and that agenda is to defeat the Republican party and install a democrat dictatorship.
They take their orders directly from the democrats.

So...should we presume from this article that every Democrat, including Shrillary, lives in abject poverty "for the betterment of the People"?
Yup...I didn't think so.

It's certainly unfair to single out DeLay for criticism in this area, as they're pretty much all doing the same, depending on their level of influence.
That's not to condone this kind of crap, though. Whether technically legal or not, it reeks.
The bigger the government, the more corruption you get.
Whatever happened to small-government conservatism? It seems to have dried up and blown away.

"Over the past six years, the former House majority leader and his associates have visited places of luxury most Americans have never seen, often getting there aboard corporate jets arranged by lobbyists and other special interests." You mean like Ted Kennedy, Jay Rockefeller, John Kerry, John Corzine, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Harry Reid and the other scummy DemonRAT millionaires in Congress?

Does anyone out there still believe the Associated Press? They're propagandists not newsmen. The purpose of this story is to destroy Tom DeLay because he had the guts to stand up to the Demorats. They destroyed Newt Gingrich and they're doing the same to DeLay. I'm amazed that anyone still gives any credibility to the Liberal Press. They lie.

Come on. It's Larry and Sharon's first shot at "journalism." It's mandatory that they trash a conservative or a Republican in order to get an "A" from their "editor." This is the kind of garbage that is expected from them if they don't want to go back to flippin' burgers.
