You're right. The 'i' word is all over the lefty websites today.

If Bush allows the RINO's in the Senate to be stampeded by the media into supporting investigations, the media and the Dems will try to turn this into another Watergate and get him impeached.

If nothing else, it will keep a steady drip of 'impeachment' and 'criminal wrongdoing' stories splashing the President and the Republicans with bull---t up to the midterms.

How many other 'leaks' does the Slimes have up its sleeve? I say its time to raise the 'i' word with the 'h' word by issuing a limited suspension of habeus to get to the bottom of the leaks. Start by throwing the Slimes reporters and editors in jail until they tell all and threaten the rest of the scum with wartime censorship rules. What will they do? It's winter so you won't get too many demos in the North, and the transit workers are on strike in NY anyway. Will they burn San Francisco? One could only hope.

You can't fight a war with a plurality of the population supporting sedition, treason, and defeat. And I don't know how we can ask our soldiers and their families to make the sacrifics they do while allowing them to be stabbed in the back.

Just a thought ..... could he have been 'asked' to resign? Bush did say the other day the Justice Dept. had 'prodecures' to look into how these highly classified leaks came about.

But it's up to Rehnquist to staff the FISA court. If you want to blame someone for this guy being on FISA, blame Rehnquist, not Clinton. Rehnquist didn't have to pick this guy, he could have picked anyone.

"Robertson is considered a liberal judge who has often ruled against the Bush administration's assertions of broad powers in the terrorism fight, most notably in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld . Robertson held in that case that the Pentagon's military commissions for prosecuting terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, were illegal and stacked against the detainees."

Good riddance.

Thought the identities of these FISA Judges was classified? Do they become declassified upon resignation?

Good point. I do not know for a fact it is classified but I would assume so.

If this story is true, maybe the Judge revealed his identity himself in yet another leftist attempt to make President Bush look bad.

that is true.

nonetheless, his position on the FISA court provides a perfect "mole" to use when needed, and he can also be used in this capacity - to feign a "resigns due to conscience" BS story.

OK, let entertain that thought. that he was allowed to resign rather then be "outed" as leaking.

that's terrible politics for our side. if we had evidence that a FISA judge, a clinton judge, was leaking - I damn sure want a friggin public spectacle made out of that. I don't want him to be allowed to "resign with dignity".

You're right. The 'i' word is all over the lefty websites today.

If we allow the left to turn the defense of our nation into a political circus, we're going to get nuked by our enemies--literally--and we're going to deserve it.

We will have proved Osama bin-Laden 100% correct.

The Democrats are going to try to accomplish what 100,000,000 radical Islamists couldn't in their wildest dreams--the destruction of the American Republic.

Perhaps the resignation has more to do with what he can and can not do while seated on the FISA court.

IOW, he can't talk about this matter as a judge on the FISA court. Now, he will be free to run is mouth until we all fall over dead.

Maybe he cut a deal to be allowed to resign by telling the JD all who are involved. Just wishful thinking on my part I suppose. Just seems odd that he would just say "I resign" within a matter of days of the President saying the Justice Dept. has procedures for looking into these matters and less than a week from when the NYSlimes started this garbage.
