Have you looked at Khashayar's home page yet?

Everyone should. It reminds us that the best people sometimes live under bad leaders.

Thanks Fred, and Merry Christmas to all.

Christmas was always popular with both muslim and non-muslim Malaysian and Indonesians too, as well as in other islamic nations like the UAE, who have decorations and references to Christmas all over the place even if they don't celebrate the religious aspect of it.

I'm always amazed when clueless western liberals (think PC speech gestapo, and the thought police) kowtow to the most intolerant jihadi element, stopping references to Christmas, requiring the "submission" of us all to self enforced dhimmitude lest we "offend" muslims.

Little do they know that they are really just "useful idiots" helping to Talibanize the west.

Ho, Ho, Ho!
Great photos!
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Here's hoping 2006 is the year that the Iranian people overthrow the regime!

How right you are! Maybe these pictures should be forwarded to the ACLU.

Merry Christmas, my friend!

Please be careful! We want you to still be alive and healthy when Iran gets its freedom.

Oh yes!!! I saw his previous home page as well. "Regime Change Iran" was one of the first threads I was drawn to when I first found FR. Khashayar posted a photo of one of the most beautiful persian rugs I have ever seen.

Sorry for the delayed response. I was falling asleep at the keyboard. LOL

A very blessed Merry Christmas to you and yours Fred!

I read somewhere this morning about the ban on Western music. Seems like everyone is ignoring it.

The real revolution arrives when the people decide that the "powers that be" have lost their legitimacy and can be ignored

Christmas mobarak. Thank you for posting the pictures, they are beautiful and bring back pleasant memories. The Shahyad Monument looks as grand as the first time that I saw it. Haste nabashid.

The script came through fine, but what's a bit weird is that when I tried to copy the message into a note to a Persian friend the words reversed. Kareesmas Mobarak became Mobarak Kareesmas.

In any case, the sentiments are appreciated and returned.

IIRC, our forum overloaded you with information on why the average
conservative in the USA dislikes the ACLU.
I guarantee that the "missionaries" of the ACLU would love to end
the Christmas displays in your homeland as well.
Hope all is well for you over there.

Iranians have more freedom to celebrate Christmas in Iran than Americans in the United States.

Who'd a thunk it?

Muslims in Iran seem more tolerant than the ones here, and especially the ACLU and CAIR.

I don't understand how Christmas is celebrated when Christians are persecuted and killed

My experience of Beijing one December was that Christmas seemed pretty readily isolatable from Christianity: Santa Clauses, Christmas trees, gifts in packages... but not a Christ child or nativity scene anywhere. A pagan, um, holiday.

or I can become the ambassador of my nation to the US

I think you would be great. Of course you could not represent the current regime, so we'd have to work out a replacement for the regime.

Americans (unfortunately) can not travel alone in Iran!

Khashayar, why is this? I know you know my wife speaks Farsi, would there still be a problem? From the police or officials?
