"Who wrote this? Captain Obvious?"

That would be the Department of Redundancy Department.

Nail them to the wall, just like Reagan did PATCO in the 80's.

Yeah but when those judges have to walk or share a taxi or carpool, watch out!

She's been in DC voting on the Senate bills. She is a US Senator, this is more a NYC local issue.

I suggest we refer this to "The Club to Stamp-Out and Get-Rid-Of Redundancy".

Who wrote this? Captain Obvious?

I don't see that line in the article itself. Probably was edited out, or Pimpmygop summarized. I don't have access to wire feed right now.

NYC should turn over the operation of its transit system to several private companies after competitive bidding.

No kidding. If the powers-that-be were really serious about breaking the union, they would have already had trained replacements ready to go.

Bloomberg is a putz, he'll back down first chance he gets.

Never happen. Total amnesty for the membership and the leaders will be item #1 on any back-to-work agreement. It sounds nice to think the MTA could put the thugs out of business, but the union has the MTA by the nuts on this one.

That doesn't stop her from commenting on everything from hurricanes a lot further south than NYC and other matters really beyond her intellect and wisdom.

While I agree that he's a putz, he might be smart enough to see the the average New Yorker likes having a strong guy in charge that can get their trains running again. And nearly everyone other than unions and liberal hacks would like to see the threat of strikes gone forever.

We'll see...

How about "return to work on time tomorrow or be fired permanently." Why is this so damned complicated?

"Your so called union will get you your 24% raise over 3 years"

According to my calculations, it comes to 25.971% over three years.

These strikers and its leader, that toussant guy who seems to have marbles in his mouth when he speaks, should be fired and replaced with non-union workers. I have two friends who are cops and their starting salary is not even close to the $62,000 these people make.

"I think Bloomberg will make them pay what they owe."

I hope says what he means.

But I agree with you: Bloomberg will make the union pay.
