MEXICO CITY Mexico's federal Human Rights Commission acknowledged yesterday that the country mistreats many immigrants mainly Central Americans and uses some of the same methods on them that it opposes in the United States.

The commission presented a report that found overcrowding, poor treatment and generally bad conditions at many of the country's 51 immigration detention centers and 68 other holding facilities.

Any additional funding that gets provided for this purpose, and the Mexicans aren't likely to provide much, will find its way into some corrupt prison officials pocket and nothing will change for the immigrants.
In fairness though, it should be noted that these Central Americans are not "immigrants" but rather illegal alien criminals. I rather approve of treating them badly because when the word gets back it discourages the flow.
Reciprocity is one of the MAJOR principles of International Law. Watch the fence go up Vicente my man!
I've talked to many of the Central Americans that have been apprehended. They have mentioned to me that they get humane treatment. I can easily imagine there are a few exceptions of someone getting a bit roughed up, but overall, I see Mexico doing a decent job giving humane treatment to people intent on violating law.

I hope we put a few million anti-personell land mines next to it and bury some of them real deep.
